È più di un mese che non aggiorno il blog, ma ho due buone scuse. Ho dovuto organizzare
la festa di compleanno dei miei bambini e sono partita per un soggiorno a Parigi.
Ho così tanti contenuti da mostrarvi che riempirò il blog per almeno 2 mesi!
Prima di tutto voglio parlarvi della festa di compleanno.
Quest'anno mi sono impegnata molto, infatti sono riuscita a realizzare gli inviti,
i biscotti decorati, gli abbellimenti per la torta e anche un piccolo allestimento
scenografico. Considerato che lui e lei avevano temi completamente diversi, il lavoro
è stato doppio. Michelangelo ha scelto il mondo dei dinosauri e Sabrina quello
degli elefanti (è follemente innamorata di Dumbo).
Oggi vi mostrerò gli inviti. Quello del dinosauro è stato fatto come un pop-up.
L'ispirazione l'ho trovata su The red thread blog ma ovviamente ho cercato
di personalizzarla mettendoci del mio. Per la busta ho usato una carta che ho scoperto
qualche anno fa e che adoro: è la Savanna Tindalo della Gmund. La sua particolarità
è che riproduce in maniera verosimile la corteccia degli alberi e al tatto dà
una piacevole sensazione. È una carta molto costosa quindi se come me dovete fare
più di 15 inviti e non volete spendere molto, vi suggerisco di scansire un foglio
e ristamparlo. Non sarà più una carta corposa, ma l'effetto visivo sarò lo stesso.
Per confezionare la busta ho deciso di usare la macchina da cucire. Mi è sempre
piaciuto l'effetto del filo sulla carta. Il nome degli invitati è stampato su dischetti
applicati con biadesivo spessorato, per dare un'effetto ancora più tridimensionale.
Per l'invito a forma di elefante non sono riuscita a trattenermi e anche qui
(come sulle uova) ho messo glitter e paillettes. La busta è un semplice semicerchio
aperto per un quarto, ed è completamente glitterata (fortunatamente ho trovato
una carta già pronta da Tiger). Come per il dinosauro, l'etichetta dell'invitato
è fustellata e applicata con un effetto rilievo. Siccome io e Sabrina eravamo indecise
se fare l'invito rosa o azzurro, alla fine ho deciso di farlo in ben quattro colori.
Ho completato il disegno con applicazioni tridimensionali, come l'orecchio e i nastri
che rappresentano un colorato codino.
Questo lavoro è stato molto impegnativo, ma l'espressione di felicità dei miei figli
mi ha riempito di gioia e mi ha fatto dimenticare le notti passate a tagliare, cucire
e incollare. Spero che questi inviti possano esservi di spunto per creare qualcosa
per i vostri bambini. Ci vediamo tra qualche giorno con la parte relativa
agli allestimenti.

It's over a month since I update the blog but I have two good excuses.
I had to organize the birthday party of my children and I went one week in Paris.
I have so many contents to show you that I will fill the blog for at least two months!
First I want to tell you about the birthday party.
This year I worked very hard, infact I made invite cards, decorated cookies,
embellishments for the cake and even a small set design. The themes was very
different: Michelangelo chose the world of dinosaurs, instead Sabrina the elephants
(she loves Dumbo).
Today I will show you the invitations. The dinosaur was done as a pop-up.
I found the inspiration on The red thread blog but I have tried to customize it
with my style. For the envelope I used a paper that I discovered few years ago
and that I love: Savanna Tindalo by Gmund. It reproduces exactly the bark of the trees
and touching it you get a pleasant feeling. It's a very expensive paper
and if you don't want to spend a lot you can scan a sheet and reprint.
The visual effect will be the same. I decided to sew the envelope because I like
the effect of the thread on the paper. The name of guests is printed on circle
applied with thick double-sided tape to give a more three-dimensional effect.
For the invitation with elephant shape I used glitter and paillettes
(as for the eggs). The envelope is an half circle open for a quarter and it's fully
glittered (fortunately I found a ready-to-use paper at Tiger). As for dinosaur,
the guest label is punched and applied with a relief effect. Since I and Sabrina
were undecided if make the cards pink or light blue, I decided to do them
in four colors. I have completed the cards with three-dimensional applications,
such as the ear and the ribbons.
This work was very demanding, but the expression of happiness of my children
fills me of joy and I forgot all the nights spent cutting, sewing and pasting.
