CONCORSO CREATIVO: vinci una mia creazione
CREATIVE CONTEST: win my own creation

Ciao a tutti!

NOTE

  Hai tempo fino al 28 settembre 2014 incluso;

  È possibile realizzare più di un elaborato;

Il vincitore verrà decretato a mio insindacabile giudizio entro metà ottobre.
I criteri di valutazione saranno: equilibrio della composizione, simpatia e originalità;

Travel to Paris: following Amélie

percorrono in motorino.

Stay tuned!

Dear friends, here I am again with a story entirely dedicated to the fabulous world

of Amélie. Initially, the intent of this post was to show only photos of the places where
it was filmed, but then I thought if someone wanted to retrace my itinerary, they should
look for all the details and addresses on the web. So I create a map of main locations
in the area of Montmartre. I'm happy because it was a great opportunity to try for the
first time to drawing a map. It's not pretty as the ones you can find on the web,
but I need to pinpoint roads and locations. When my husband saw me "trace"
the roads from Google Maps he told me I'm crazy, but this you already know...

Our tour began at 9:30 am from the underground of Anvers.

We immediately went to the carousel horses (don't look for the call box because
you'll not find it) and then we take the funicular (I know, I didn't, but we had
the kids) to the upper road.

► Just there, at the end of the park, I suddenly recognized the little road
that Nino and Gina run through when they talk about proverbs.

► Even if not essential in the movie, a visit to the Sacre-Coeur was due.

From there we walked on Rue Saint-Vincent, the way followed by Amélie and Nino
on his scooter. It is a quiet street and is a pleasure to walk.

Strolling we arrived at the station of Lamark Caulaincourt, where Amélie leaves
the blind person. I would not want to disappoint you, but here is not even left
a crumb of magic.

Passing again in the road of the scooter, we visited the historic Montmartre's
square and then we go up to Maison Collignon. From there we stop to see the Abbesses
station that, in addition to seeing in the film, is one of the few that has retained
the external structure in the Art Nouveau style.

The tour ended at the Cafe des 2 Moulins, just at lunchtime. What better excuse
could there be for lunch? Fate would have it that our table was just behind the wall
where Amélie writes the menu to the contrary (sigh...). I had plenty of time to observe
the local (now it is very different from how it appears in the film) and to take pictures.
In the bathroom there is a cabinet that contains some relics of the film (I love
the lamp with Mr. Pig), same original and others not. At the end I take a creme brûlée
and I broke the crust using a spoon. You see my happy face in the photo?

But the day was not over. In the afternoon we went in the picturesque setting
of the Canal Saint-Martin, in the nearby Gare de L'Est (where was located the photo booth
when it is revealed the mystery of repairman) and in the mentioned Rue Quincampoix.

In the attached file you'll find all the exact addresses.

As usual, I've draw out.
See you in the next post where I'll talk about (drum roll) my first creative contest!
Stay tuned!
